I’m a Professor of Economics at University College Dublin. That’s me looking rather jolly below.
Before joining UCD, I worked as an economist at the Central Bank of Ireland and before that the Federal Reserve Board. Here‘s a full CV.
These days I teach classes in macroeconomics, do research, supervise PhD students, give talks on Irish and European economic policy issues, advise politicians and other groups if asked, occasionally appear on the broadcast media, write newspaper and magazine columns, attempt to follow world economic events and try to be a good parent.
When I get the time, sometimes I write blog posts to comment on events or flag useful links but I don’t have time to referee comments. Feel free to contact me via email or twitter if you want to comment on something I’ve written and I may be able to add your comment to the blog but I can’t guarantee a reply.
