My book\u00a0Fine Margins: How Economics Explains Sports Betting<\/em>\u00a0is now available for purchase.<\/p>\n

There are two editions, a US edition and an International edition. The International edition has more material on betting markets for soccer. The US edition focuses more on the American sports betting industry, includes a chapter on tax issues and discusses prediction markets.<\/p>\n

Before joining UCD, I worked as an economist at the Central Bank of Ireland and before that the Federal Reserve Board. Here<\/a>‘s a full CV.<\/p>\n

I spent most of career as a macroeconomist but I am currently also working<\/a> on the economics of sports betting and prediction markets.<\/p>\n
